‘I♡BRD’ pergola

The pergola is the result of a series of workshops with young girls in the area. The desire for a place where different generations can socialise was realised into a gathering structure for hanging out in various shapes and forms. The pergola accommodates bench tables and tiered seating around an open stage area. The orange colour and the text “I<3BRD” were also requests from the reference group. The colour symbolises Bredäng and is a strong yet neutral colour.
The pergola’s frame is made up of square tubes, with a roof of polycarbonate and wooden slats.
